Appraisals
A Detailed appraisal in writing substantiates the value of your instrument. It is a good practice to get your instrument(s) appraised annually, in order to keep you informed and update your insurance broker on its current value, keeping your investment safe.
Ed Mc Donald has been playing and collecting vintage guitars since 1969, and Tundra Music / Vintage Guitars was established in 1989. Tundra Music is known world wide as one of the original vintage dealers. Ed Mc Donald has been requested to do evaluations and appraisals for international museums, the US and Canadian governments, numerous insurance companies, and collectors and guitarist around the globe.
For a written appraisal, please send:
1. Clear detailed photos of Full Front and Back of the instrument plus any damage.
2.A clear documentation of any repairs, modifications, or damage that is not shown in the photographs.
3. Serial number and any identifying numbers or codes, including their location.
4. Please divulge and itemize if the instrument needs any repairs.
5. $25.00 USD per instrument. (Taxes are applicable to Canadian residents.)
6. Your contact info. (Name, Phone, Email, Mailing Address)

Repairs
At some point in the life of any instrument there comes a time when it will need some T.L.C. Whether it's a simple re-stringing or setup, or a full restoration of a Vintage Classic, we can meet your maintenance and repair needs. We work with several luthiers and custom guitar builders each haveing their own speciality.
Custom Instruments
For the more adventurous players, we can help you obtain custom instruments built to your standards. Selecting your own shape, dimensions, and configuration, hardware and tone wood will give you an instrument as unique as your own individual style.
